Today it’s all about useful, truthful content. The kind that you’d want to see on a search right under those paid for ads (more on that later). Look for a cheap/artificial shortcut, pretty much equal to spam, and Google is sure to slam you to the search ranking mat. Moral: Don’t cheat! And don’t try to out-smart the smartest in the room.
Here’s a quick test you can try: Google “real estate agents (your area).” Does the first page have a few good reviews? Sure! Think about building your review sites like you would approach the stock market — you’re not going to get rich overnight. However, one good review can lead to a couple more reviews, which reach more and more who leave their own reviews. This keeps pushing you up the SEO ladder.
Don’t forget to get involved. It’s not enough just to have social media accounts. Use them! Post pictures of interesting (key word) interesting things. Someone may not even be looking for a real estate agent but if they see that a friend of theirs who’s looking to buy or sell a house, they might think of you. You can also post real estate specific details such as current listings or new initiatives around the community involving the real estate market.. Get out there! Promote, engage and listen. Active pages help with SEO.
All of these networks work together to support SEO strength. If you invest in something, you want to be sure that it makes sense for your practice and your community.
